Hilda Gurdián, directora del periódico La Noticia, fue reconocida por la revista Charlotte Magazine como una de las 50 personas más poderosas de Charlotte.
Nuestra directora está listada como la única representante de la comunidad latina y aparece entre ocho mujeres. Charlotte Magazine recopila esta lista cada dos años y Gurdián también fue incluida en la del 2006.
En la edición de noviembre de 2008 de Charlotte Magazine dice: “El semanario La Noticia ha resistido los desafíos de varios competidores para continuar como el periódico líder en idioma español a nivel local. Gurdian se lleva la mayor parte del crédito por esto, aunque controla la empresa con su esposo Alvaro. Gurdian es experta en establecer conexiones y se ha convertido en una integrante de las principales juntas directivas locales”.
Charlotte Magazine es una respetada e influyente publicación con 40 años sirviendo a la comunidad, realizó esta clasificación luego de una ardua investigación, docenas de entrevistas y mucho tiempo de deliberación.
Entre la lista de Las 50 personas más poderosas de la ciudad además aparecen figuras destacadas como: Ken Lewis principal jefe de Bank of America, Jim Rogers presidente de Duke Energy, Dr. Tony Zeiss, presidente del CPCC, el gerente de la Ciudad Curt Walton, el presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Charlotte Bob Morgan, Jerry Richardson fundador del equipo Carolina Panthers, Rick Thames, editor de The Charlotte Observer, entre otros.

Hilda Gurdian, the publisher of La Noticia was recognized in Charlotte Magazine as one of the 50 Most Powerful People in Charlotte.
Our publisher is listed as the only representative from the Latino community and among eight women. Charlotte Magazine compiles this list every two years and Gurdian was also included in 2006.
Charlotte Magazine says: “The weekly La Noticia has withstood challenges from various competitors to remain the dominant local Spanish-Language newspaper. Gurdian gets most of the credit for that, although she runs the company with her husband, Alvaro. Gurdian is adept at networking and has become a fixture on top local boards.”
Charlotte Magazine is a respected and influential publication serving the community for more than 40 years. They put together the list after lengthy research, conducting dozens of interviews and careful deliberations.
